How to connect Link Mobility SMS with easySales: a complete setup guide

Send your customers order SMS through Link Mobility: the four API values, testing the connection, notification rules and templates, diacritics and SMS length, and the statuses in SMS History.

Link Mobility (formerly Teracomm) is an SMS provider. Connected to easySales, it sends your customers text messages about their orders: an order confirmation, the AWB with a tracking link, an invoice, a cancellation, a return. The messages go out automatically when the event happens, or from an automation flow, or by hand from the order page.

Two things to know before you begin:

  • The four API values come from Link Mobility, and saving checks none of them. easySales needs an API Key, an API Secret, a Service ID and the sender in Short Code. Link Mobility issues them with your contract. Save stores what you typed; Test connection is what tells you they work.
  • Connecting sends nothing to customers yet. Messages go out from a notification rule, an automation flow or the order page, and each of them names the SMS service to use.

Before you start

✓

Four API values

✓

Your phone at hand

To receive the test SMS.

Ask Link Mobility for API access for easySales — at office.romania@linkmobility.com if you are not a customer yet. They send you the API Key, the API Secret, the Service ID and the list of senders you may use: a short code or a sender name approved for your account.

Go to Integrations → SMS Services and press Connect on the Link Mobility card — or Edit, if you have connected it before.

Step 3 — Test the connection

Open the saved connection and press Test connection. Enter your own mobile number with its country code, digits only — for example 40722123456 — and press Continue. easySales sends a real SMS through Link Mobility, which is charged like any other: when it arrives, the connection works. If Link Mobility refuses, its reason is shown instead.

Step 4 — Choose which messages go out

Notification rules send an SMS when something happens to an order: an AWB is created, the order is created, invoiced, cancelled or finished, the delivery status changes, a return is created. First write the message in Customers → Templates, on the SMS tab, then create the rule in Customers → Notifications, under the event you want.

A notification rule for AWB Created sending through Link Mobility, with three shops ticked under Send message for following channels and an SMS template.
A rule sends through the service you select, for the channels you tick.
  • Select a service — the SMS service the rule sends through: Link Mobility, and the connection's Alias.
  • Send message for following channels — tick every marketplace and shop whose orders should get the SMS. Orders from a channel that is not ticked get nothing.
  • Select the appropriate template — the text of the SMS.

Messages can also go out from an automation flow, with the action Send order sms notification, or by hand from the order page, with Notify user.

The SMS goes to the customer's phone number, written in international format from the country of the shipping address.

Checking what was sent

Every message is listed in Customers → SMS History, with its status, the order, the customer and the text:

Status What it means
In Progress The SMS was handed to Link Mobility and waits for its delivery report.
Sent The SMS reached the mobile network.
Delivered The SMS reached the customer's phone.
Undelivered The network could not deliver it, for example an invalid number or a phone switched off for too long.
Rejected The network refused the message, often because the number is invalid or foreign to your contract.
Failed Link Mobility could not send it. Check the connection with Test connection.
Unknown No delivery report came back.

Frequently asked questions

From Link Mobility, with your contract. They are not the login of a Link Mobility web account. Ask Link Mobility for API access for easySales.

The sender your customers see: the short code or the sender name Link Mobility approved for your account.

Open the saved connection, press Test connection, enter your mobile number with its country code, digits only, and press Continue. If the test SMS arrives, it works.

Yes. It is a real SMS sent through your Link Mobility account.

Link Mobility did not accept the phone number. Enter it with the country code and digits only, for example 40722123456.

Connecting sends nothing on its own. Create an SMS template in Customers → Templates, then a rule in Customers → Notifications that uses it, with the Link Mobility service selected and your sales channels ticked.

A character outside the standard SMS alphabet — most diacritics, an emoji, Cyrillic or Chinese letters — switches the SMS to Unicode, where one message holds 70 characters instead of 160. Write templates without such characters, and keep them short.

In Customers → SMS History, and on the order page. Delivered means the SMS reached the customer's phone.
