How to connect Media Expert with easySales

How to connect Media Expert with easySales

Sell on Media Expert in Poland with easySales: Shop ID and App token, VAT, product safety details, category mapping, linking your existing offers and Media Expert's messages.

What the Media Expert connection does

Media Expert is a Polish marketplace for electronics and home appliances. Connecting your Media Expert seller account lets easySales send your products and offers to Media Expert, keep their price and stock up to date, and bring Media Expert orders in with the rest of your orders.

Three things to know before you begin:

  • Every new offer needs a Media Expert category. An offer without one stops in easySales with Missing category and never reaches Media Expert. Map your categories to Media Expert's once, under Categories, and every product in them gets one.
  • Set Default Tax Rate to 23. easySales adds this VAT to the price it sends to Media Expert. Left at 0, Media Expert receives your price without VAT.
  • Offers you already have on Media Expert must be linked to your products. They are imported unlinked, and until you link them they get no price or stock from easySales.

Step 4 — Orders and stock settings

Open the Additional settings tab:

The Additional settings tab: Send offer prices to marketplace Yes, Send offer stock to marketplace Yes, Automatically enable offers when products have stock No, Auto-accept orders Yes.
Prices, stock and Auto-accept orders on Yes.
  • Send offer prices to marketplace and Send offer stock to marketplace: keep Yes. With No, an offer gets its price and stock only when it is first sent, and later changes in easySales never reach Media Expert.
  • Auto-accept orders: keep Yes. Media Expert shows the buyer's address only after the order is accepted, so easySales accepts each new order and then imports it. With No, orders come in only after you accept them in Media Expert.

Step 5 — Map your categories to Media Expert

Go to Categories — under Online Shops or Virtual Shop, wherever your products are. On the row of a category, press Map categories and choose Media Expert.

Mapping the Headphones category: Media Expert Category Słuchawki Bluetooth, then Media Expert's characteristics for it, the mandatory ones marked with a red asterisk, and Kolor matched to the shop's Colour characteristic.
A category mapped to Media Expert, with its mandatory characteristics marked.
  • Media Expert Category: type part of the name and pick Media Expert's category, for example Słuchawki Bluetooth.
  • Below it, Media Expert lists the characteristics of that category. Those marked with a red asterisk are mandatory: match each one to a characteristic of your shop, for example Kolor to your Colour.

Press Save. Every product in this category now goes to Media Expert with the category and characteristics you mapped. Repeat for each category you sell on Media Expert.

Step 6 — Check your offers

Your offers are on Marketplaces → Offers, on the Media Expert tab.

The Media Expert tab of Offers: one offer rejected with 11265 Missing category, one rejected with 11269 Mandatory characteristics missing, one In validation, two Approved, and two offers imported from Media Expert, greyed out, marked Unlinked, each with a Link button.
Rejected offers show the reason; imported offers stay greyed out until you link them.
  • A new offer first goes through Media Expert's validation and then goes live. Until then its status is In validation.
  • An offer that cannot go out is Rejected, and the reason is on its row. Fix it and press Resend — see the table at the end of this guide.
  • Offers you already had on Media Expert are imported greyed out and Unlinked. Use Link on the row, or Link to product for a selection, to attach each one to a product in easySales. Once linked, it gets the product's price and stock, and orders for it reserve the product's stock.

Orders

New orders come in every few minutes. When an order gets an AWB in easySales, the tracking number goes to Media Expert and the order is marked as shipped there. The invoices you create in easySales are sent to Media Expert, and cancelling the order in easySales cancels it on Media Expert.
