How to connect UrgentCargus with easySales: a complete setup guide

Connect UrgentCargus to easySales: WebExpress credentials and the Get Details step, service types, pickup locations and rates, extra services, and the advanced option that prevents the most common refusal.

What connecting UrgentCargus gives you

With Cargus connected, easySales creates the AWB for an order, prints it, follows the parcel and cancels a shipment you no longer need — without you opening WebExpress.

This guide covers the whole connection. One advanced option gets more attention than anything else on the form, because it is the difference between orders shipping and orders sitting: Try to autodetect postal code.

Before you start

A Cargus WebExpress account

The user name and password you sign in to WebExpress with. That is what the connection asks for.

API access

Cargus enables API access for your account on request, at ecom@cargus.ro. Without it the connection cannot sign in.

A pickup location

At least one collection address on your Cargus account. easySales reads the list from Cargus; you choose which one this connection ships from.

Step 1 — Find the UrgentCargus card

Go to Integrations → Couriers and search for cargus.

The Couriers page in easySales filtered to Cargus, showing the connected UrgentCargus card.
Integrations → Couriers filtered to `cargus`.

Press Connect on the card, or Edit if you have connected it before.

Step 2 — Your WebExpress account

The top of the UrgentCargus connection form, showing Connection Name, WebExpress UserName, WebExpress Password and a Get Details button.
Only these three fields appear until Get Details succeeds.

WebExpress UserName and WebExpress Password are the credentials of your Cargus WebExpress account. Connection Name is what you will see inside easySales when you choose between connections.

Step 3 — Service, format, pickup location and rates

The UrgentCargus form after Get Details, showing Services set to 1 - Standard, AWB Format A4, the Pickup Location list and the Rates list.
Pickup locations and price tables are read from your Cargus account.
Field What it does
Services The Cargus service type every AWB on this connection is created with, shown as id - name.
AWB Format A4 for a full page, or 10x14 for a single label on a thermal printer.
Pickup Location Which of the addresses on your Cargus account the parcels are collected from. The list comes from Cargus, and it is required.
Rates Which of your Cargus price tables the shipment is charged against. The list is read from your account; if Cargus returns none, the field does not appear.

Step 4 — Extra services and the collection window

The UrgentCargus form showing Additional Services, Insured delivery, Auto call courier set to Yes and the start and end time interval fields.
Everything chosen here applies to every AWB created on this connection.
Setting What it does
Additional Services Open on receipt, Saturday delivery and Parcel for exchange. Whatever you choose is added to every parcel created on this connection.
Insured delivery Declares the parcel's value to Cargus — the amount to collect when the order is cash on delivery, otherwise the order's value.
Auto call courier A connection-level setting for collections, with the two fields below it.
Start time interval / End time interval The hours between which Cargus may collect. Both are required once Auto call courier is set to Yes.
Cash on delivery Not a field on this form. easySales sends the amount to collect by itself when the order has one.
Extra services and collection

Step 5 — The notes template

The notes template of an UrgentCargus connection, with the Order and Products variable buttons above a box containing an order number and a quantity and SKU list.
What the template produces is printed on the AWB.

Whatever the template produces travels with the parcel and is printed on the AWB, so keep it to what a driver or a warehouse needs to read. The buttons above the box insert values from the order and from its products — order number, invoice series, quantity and SKU, warehouse location.

Step 6 — Printing settings and advanced options

Both sections are collapsed, and the single most useful setting on the whole form is inside the second one.

The expanded printing settings and advanced options of an UrgentCargus connection, showing Paper size, Scale type, Try to autodetect postal code set to Yes, Generate packages based on the number of packages of the product, and Custom API key.
Try to autodetect postal code is the setting worth opening this block for.
Setting What it does
Try to autodetect postal code Off by default. When the order has no postal code, easySales works one out from the county, city and street before sending the parcel. Without it, those orders are refused outright.
Generate packages based on the number of packages of the product Counts the parcels on the AWB from the package count set on each product, instead of always sending one.
Custom API key Only if Cargus issued you your own subscription key. Left empty, easySales uses its own — most sellers never touch this field.
Printing settings Paper size and scale, used only when you print through the easySales Printer connection, and only for this courier. This is not AWB Format: Cargus decides what the label looks like, these decide how it lands on paper.
Advanced options

More than one pickup location

The three-dot menu open on the UrgentCargus card, showing Connect another courier account, Documentation and Register.
A second pickup location is a second connection.

Open the ⋮ menu on the Cargus card and choose Connect another courier account, or open an existing connection and press Clone to copy all of its settings. Each connection has its own pickup location, service, price table and format, and you choose between them by Connection Name when you create an AWB.

When Cargus refuses an AWB

Message What it means
Recipient's zip code is required! The delivery address has no postal code. Turn on Try to autodetect postal code, or fill the postal code on the order. This is the most common Cargus failure by a wide margin.
Awb could not be created: The recipient's locality could not be matched! Cargus does not recognise the locality on the order — usually a spelling that differs from the official name, or a village written in place of the commune.
Execution Timeout Expired… Cargus did not answer in time. Nothing was created; try the AWB again.

Frequently asked questions

Your Cargus WebExpress user name and password — the same ones you sign in to WebExpress with. There is no separate API key to paste: easySales supplies the subscription key itself, and the **Custom API key** field in the advanced options is only for sellers to whom Cargus issued their own.

Press **Get Details** first. It signs in to Cargus and reads your pickup locations and price tables, and the rest of the form — including Save — only appears once that succeeds. If it returns an error, the credentials are wrong or API access has not been enabled for your account yet.

Cargus will not accept a shipment without a delivery postal code, and orders from marketplaces often arrive without one. Open the connection, expand **Show advanced options** and set **Try to autodetect postal code** to Yes — easySales then works the code out from the county, city and street on the order before sending the parcel. Orders that already have a postal code are unaffected.

Cargus could not find the locality from the order in its own list of Romanian localities. It is usually a spelling difference or a village written where Cargus expects the commune. Correct the locality on the order and create the AWB again.

The one your Cargus contract carries. The list shows Cargus's service types with their ids — Standard, Matinal, Economic Standard and the rest — and which of them you may use is set by your contract, so check in WebExpress which product you have. Whatever you choose applies to every AWB made on this connection.

Not on one connection — the service is part of the connection. Sellers who need two services keep two connections and choose between them by Connection Name when they create the AWB.

No. When the order has an amount to collect, easySales sends it with the shipment by itself. There is no cash-on-delivery field on the connection; **Insured delivery** is what declares the value to Cargus.

Open the ⋮ menu on the Cargus card and choose **Connect another courier account**, or open an existing connection and press **Clone**. Each connection carries its own pickup location, service, price table and AWB format.

AWB Format is sent to Cargus and decides the label it produces — a full A4 page or a 10x14 label for a thermal printer. Paper size under Printing settings only applies when you print through the easySales Printer connection, and it overrides your printer's default for this courier alone.

From your own Cargus account: easySales reads the price tables Cargus holds for you when you press Get Details. If your account has none, the field is not shown at all.
